you forgot your knitting?

today we spent the day (well, what would be knitting group time) at mobot (missouri botanical gardens.) it was a gorgeous day to be out. enjoying the gardens. talking. knitting. well, uh...i didn't knit. just talked. what's new? why no knitting, you ask? ahem...i forgot to grab my knitting bag and when i thought of the fact that i didn't bring it, i didn't think to turn around and get it. no telling where that thought process originated. let's see...going to knitting. don't grab knitting bag. hhmmm...nope. doesn't make sense!

the highlights? the smellling garden. the glass sculptures by chihuly. the bonsais. the chinese garden. sitting in the gazebo. first with others. then, all of it to us. the conversations. the dressing up. a few pictures of our day follow...

enter the chinese garden...

our time at the gardens came to an end. as all good things do...autumn and i headed to pho grand for dinner. summer rolls. spring rolls. pho tai. scallops with curry and coconut milk. tsingtao. sparkling lemonade. and to end...cafe sua da. yum.

between pho grand and our next scheduled stop, we decided to head to the target on hampton...they have covered parking!!! and cart escalators like those at ikea!

a quick swing by junk junkie to pick up autumn's leftovers from rock n roll craft show and back to illinois we went!
