after several attempts to get the taste "just right," we ended up sampling 5 combinations...the last attempt was perfectly delicious! so...we had to do it again. as they say, an experiment is proven only when the results are able to be reproduced! i don't know if melissa is willing to make a go of this coffee drink at the coffeehouse...but, i think autumn and i may have pretty well convinced her! all i know is if we get these at the coffeehouse...that is what you will find me drinking! it's like an iced latte only so much more potent!

want to make one? well, here's what you need. 1) single cup coffee filter (the stainless contraption perched atop the glass,) 2) sweetened condensed milk, 3) espresso, 4) chicory, 5) boiling water, 6) ice.

place 2 slightly heaping tablespoons of espresso and 1/3 tablespoon of chicory into the filter. cover with the removeable filter and press down to compact the coffee. set the filter on top of a glass with 2-3 teaspoons condensed milk already in the glass. pour enough hot water into the filter so it fills without overflowing. allow the water to brew through filter. when no longer dripping, remove from glass and stir coffee and milk vigorously. add ice until glass is full. stir. enjoy!
