so...i'm trying to think of a reason to not go to the dmv this morning. i have to renew my registration and due to some info changes, i have to renew in person. blech. i despise the dmv on saturdays. i'm thinking about heading to pickneyville (about 15 miles away) to possibly avoid the crowds that gather at the belleville facility. i need some kind of motivation...hmm...thinkthinkthink...OH YES! i'm going to soulard farmer's market with autumn this morning...we're meeting up at 10ish and heading down there. so, i have two hours! better scoot!
update to earlier post (above): so due to the absolutely crappy weather in stlouis today...autumn and i met up at borders as planned and didn't leave for quite some time...we figured SFM would have to wait for next saturday...hopefully! we then decided to go to ____ ________ for lunch (hehe, i can't tell you yet...it's a contest!) i had a sandwich (pictured in the above post) and autumn had a sandwich (and chili.) i opted out on a side of chili due to the seemingly ridiculous caloric value of my meal. don't ask. don't tell. i don't want to know it's daily nutritional value, but i'm sure it packed a punch.
after lunch, we headed to knitorious and while on the way, the roads just slick enough from the morning mist, didn't like my car well enough to keep it on the road. quite the scary experience! i hydro'd for what seemed like forever and amazingly, kept control of the car and kept it on the road! whew! once my parasympathetic system kicked in, i was giddy and laughing hysterically. i turned to autumn and said, "as soon as we're done at knitorious, we should go have a drink." well, who argues with that??? so, we were at knitorious for a considerable amount of time. got to 33 at 2:30, they were closed and having a private party. i called jake and he said they would open at 3:30...so, what to do? we grabbed a seat at perc on the park, busted out the knitting and enjoyed a coffee. at about 4, we walked a few doors down and each had a delicious glass of christoffel (riesling.) then we were off...heading back to the lame side of the river. no offense. i just heart the lou.
