just a lazy sunday...

so...the past few days. hectic. i thought i took time off from work to have "downtime." instead, i booked my open schedule. vet appointments, not to mention the part time gig...forgot to schedule off from that job. how lame to take a four day weekend and have to work smack dab in the middle of that weekend! oh well.

i will say in the midst of all this chaos i created, i did find time to schedule a "me time" appointment. at the spa. facial. well deserved rejuvenation. one and a half hours of continuous pampering. ah. love it!

in other news, i received my delicious yarn yesterday! hand dyed merino wool. it will make some gorgeous, crazy socks. can't wait! the artist? dani...you can find her beautiful work at www.etsy.com her shop is sunshine yarns...her blog? knittingsunshine.blogspot.com

and of course, the original purpose of the four day was to intergrate my 2 dogs. meet stella. my girl for the last 8 years. chocolate and white german pointer. i love her. never imagined having a second dog considering how possessive stella can be. well, i up and did it. i adopted a greyhound by the name of izzy. she is 9. older, i know. but perfect for pairing with stella. if i figure out how to post pics, i'll have those up soon. i now have 2 beautiful girls! the intergration? so far, so good. the only time i get real nervous now, is during feeding time. i don't worry about leaving the two of them alone, like i did initially. so, yeah...that's it!

right now...i'm enjoying my morning coffee. cinnamon twist. music-leaders of the free world by elbow. the girls are watching american beauty. not that they really care. the highlight of my day today will be the 'oscar party' with my knitting group. we're all getting together, watching the debut of stitchcraft, followed by the oscars and filled with snacking, drinking and lots of chatting.
