sock it to me!

this past week at knitting, i started socks. uh. excuse me. a sock. my first pair of socks was done before this blog was in existence. they were more for practice purposes. the best part about them was the fact that they were both done at the same time on 2 sets of circular needles. no SSS. (for the non-knitting readers...sss = second sock syndrome) i've only completed the cuff and first segment of the pattern and i think i'm already dreading the second one. uhoh. i dread that i will fall victim to this awful knitter's disease.

this is a close up...i like working with the dpns. but...i don't like the 5 dpn action. i think next time i'll try 4 dpns. it's just akward at times. i feel i always have one dpn ready to spear me in the eye. knitting is supposed to be calming. relaxing. not eye threatening. oh well. wish me luck. i better finish these!!!

i prefer knitting with 5 dpns to 4 dpns because it is less likely to leave a gap between needles.
