behold the majestic wonder of...pumpkin butter. made with 2 ingredients. pumpkin. sugar. what more could one need? my beautanimous sister brought this as a gift for me from galena, illinois. it's from a place called the grateful gourmet...although i'm sure you can find a similar version at your local grocery store or possibly online. all i know is that i'm in love! i have great ambitions for my lil' jar o'pumpkin butter...muffins. pancakes. bread. more waffles!

here it is hot from the waffle iron...a slight tinge of orange hints at the delectable taste folded within the seemingly boring waffle. this beauty only needed two more things to make it complete. butter. hot maple syrup. i honestly planned on having a picture of the maple soaked waffle...but my appetite got the best of me. finishing the first quarter, i realized my anticipation to try the waffle would now make for a not so great picture...oh well. take my word. it was dericious. (not a typo)
