since the whole setup i had for uploading my photos has pretty much buckled...i have come to rely on my mobile blog setup for keeping up with my blogging. (admit it...i'm kicking ass in the blogging department. 2 posts last month and i think i have 9 for february so far!) one of those posts should have been shortly after jan 18th. the 3rd backpiece update. the left side of the waves and water. 4 shades of blue. it's breathing life into the piece. and for accents? flesh. at the end i think he plans on placing select white accents. but...i can honestly say i am in love with this work! and i don't look at it too often. so when i pass the mirror and catch a glimpse...i stop. step back once. turn away a lil' more. and admire. is that bad? i guess it's vain. but then again not. i mean. it's on me. but it's not mine. it's someone's artwork. and maybe that's what makes me admire it so. and i would be amiss to not include the stats...

  • 2 hours 15 minutes (6 hours 30 minutes)
  • $130 work ($555)
  • $70 tip. actually a skew...i had allotted $200 total and he asked $130. i insisted he keep it. he insisted next time i would pay only what he asks for...no extra for tip. ($130)
  • 1 red bull, 1 large bottle fuji water, handful of trader joe's 1/2 the sodium dry roasted almonds. yum.
  • 2 trips to the facilities. hey! i had a bolus dose of caffeine and lotsa water!
  • 1 break, 2 cigarettes. (3 breaks, 4 cigarettes)
  • left side of backpiece colored. waves & water. 4 shades of blue ranging from dark blue to ocean teal.
  • 40 miles traveled (120 miles)

next update? the fourth installment is around the corner! wednesday, february 21st. i believe he's gonna try to finish as much of the water as possible. stay tuned...
