oh. that lil' thing?

so...i finally did it. i started my backpiece! yesterday marked the first of four or five sessions for the lower two-thirds of my back to be tattooed with a large koi. tossing in waves. cherry blossoms. what you see took a few minutes over two hours for trevis to complete. of course, this is only the outline with a bit of black coloring completed. my next appointment is november 18th and that's when we start the color. and of course...i plan on using my blog as a tally sheet for this tattoo. so here we go! (of course, some of the things listed are for fun!)
  • 2 hours 15 minutes
  • $225.00 work
  • $30.00 tip
  • 1 bottle evian (32 oz)
  • 2 trips to the facilities
  • 1 15 minute break...trevis needed a smoke!
  • black ink only (outline and some coloring)
  • 64 oz bottle dial (gotta stock up early!)
  • 1 tube bacitracin
  • 40 miles traveled

as of today, i am feeling surprisingly fine. the tenderness is minimal. (trevis has an amazing touch with his gun...uh...that doesn't sound right!) the only area that is slightly more sensitive is the area above my right...ahem...cheek. i am ridiculously proud of how well i tolerated the tattooing. i usually find it irritating. tolerable, yes. and now? well, i can't wait for the 18th! i am so excited to watch this progress!
