  • $125 work ($920)
  • $40 tip ($250)
  • 1 bottle iceland pure water (aka bjork tears), 1 goshen latte...carefully & lovingly crafted by someone with so much more patience than i could possibly muster.
  • 1 break (and have i ever told you? during breaks or anytime during the tattoo process...i never look!? i wait till he's done...and then. look.)
  • 40 miles (240 miles)

what's your crime?

inspired by squaresville who was inspired by blackbird who was inspired by alice in connecticut who was inspired by jane

my crimes???

constantly thinking of my other half on the other half

buying into too many craft interests

quitting my full time job...for me

staying up all night to start and finish the first season of sopranos

going down the rabbit hole

resisting coming back up from the rabbit hole

never mailing in the application packet the first time

enjoying the thrill of procrastination

drinking too much coffee

wanting the backpiece to be finished

full-body bowling

finding any excuse for pho and cafe su dua

being known as the one that knows

being so tired that the original "my crimes" didn't save to draft and these were the only ones i could recall. and damn it. i had a pretty fabulous list of crimes.

dude...

only because lil'sis bullied me into this post...well. kinda. it was long overdue anyway. results of session 5. trevis worked an hour and a half on the koi's head. and why didn't we go the usual two hours? i believe trevis is the type of artist that works in segments. that is...if he worked two hours it would have seemed to be abandoned mid work. you know? so by working on the head and stopping there, the tattoo looks complete although it's far from it still. yes. still. at this session, he estimated at least 2 but more like 3 or 4 sessions until it's considered finished. and i'm fine with that. i just keep thinking that i'm almost done...and. i'm. not.

stats...

  • 1.5 hours (10 hours)
  • $120 work ($795)
  • $40 tip ($210)
  • 1 magnificent goshen latte with free latte art included, 1 roast beef, cream cheese, lettuce and tomato on country white from 222 artisan bakery...(goshen and artisan are housed in the same beautifully located shop...it's a mom&pop kinda business. coffee & bread. two of my life necessities.)
  • 1 break
  • 40 miles (200 miles)
  • area worked on: koi head...intricate detail made this the smallest area worked yet. colors used: white, yellow, red, orange, black, blue, green.

"told you it'd be a porker!"

eavesdrop on autumn and i having conversation on the topic of food and you're bound to hear any combination of snippets from the following movie clip. namely the bits italicized. and because the reciting occured today (as most days...) i decided once and for all to accurately transcribe the clip...name that movie!!! (and all typos are intended...for german accent emphasis!)

"i am eating zee vwonka bar and i taste zumting dat is not chocolat...or coconat? vwalnut? or peanat butta? or nougat? or butta bwittle? or caramel? or schrpinkles? so i look and...i find zee golden ticket!"

"augustus...how did you tselebrate?"

"i eat more candeeee!"

if it wasn't this, it would be nothing. deal.

in my new found free time...i spend most evenings at home. laptop on the arm of the couch. movie playing. movies that have scenes i no longer need to watch because i've damn near memorized the whole script. so. i watch you tube. hey! i don't have cable out here in the boonies. so. i turn to redneck tivo. ;)

and has anyone seen this video? effen hilarious! i think one of the remakes i can actually say i like better than the original!!! (and i haven't resorted to blog posts of only videos to waste your time watching...i have a few posts still in need of finalizing.)
